So you masked off the metal and cut out what you wanted etched?? Does metal etching work like glass etching?

it's a photo process... I do the designs on my computer, print it onto clear film, then the metal is coated with light sensitive immolation and developed with the film on top. Then that protects the metal you want when it's dipped in acid... everything else either etches half way thru or cuts if it's on both sides :)

Thank you :D it was quite the mind streach to figure out all the knot stuff, and to merge the celtic style with an art nouveau feel (that's what I was trying to do at least :)

I don't know about commissions, I like the idea of it but really haven't done much, i'm glad you like the work :D

Ya, we were studying celtic art and early christian stone work...trying to draw out an interlace design is mind boggling XD

There is a cute little book called Sacred Geometry, you might check it out... it's made to follow along with pencil and compus... like the olden days of yore hehe
