Shrek Prop by TimBakerFX Shrek Prop by TimBakerFX
This is the final shrek prop I did for HBO's Entourage series. In the episode "Guys and Doll", one of the actors steals a prototype Shrek sculpture for a producer...mayhem ensues ;-) I used the Mcfarlane Toys Shrek figure as my reference, it was just so well done so I can't take credit for the design but it was a fun job. I used chavant clay for the sculpt, silicone molds and cast in Urethane elastomer it's damn near indestructible (the actors had to throw it around and broke 5 that were cast in resin before I make this guy. Here he just has his primer coat of paint but I did a full painted figure for the production company. 9 inches tall

Very nice! How in the world did the actors break 5 resin castings? Man talking about handling them rough. I wish I could apprentice under ya so I could get into the industry. Ive found it next to impossible with all the years I have tried. *sighs*

Oh, actors can break anything, I always carry a big fix it kit to the set.

keep working on your book, that'll do it. If you put in just 2 hours a day on your portfolio, by next year this time you'll have work, no one seems to put in the time tho

I try to sketch every day but I always tend to find an excuse to not sketch or sculpt sometimes heh..
